Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers for prospective students and families.
1. Who are the courses designed for?
Our courses are available for children, teenagers, and adults-both male and female-from different languages, cultures, countries, and educational backgrounds. Entry requirements vary by program.
2. How do I join a program?
Complete a separate online application for each student. After the form is reviewed, the admissions team will contact you to arrange a free trial or assessment. Your place is confirmed after the recommended schedule is accepted and the required fee is received.
3. How many classes are held each week?
Standard one-to-one Qur'an programs may be offered three or six days per week, subject to teacher availability. Three-day schedules may follow Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday-Saturday. Six-day schedules ordinarily run every day except Friday. Advanced programs may follow a separate academic timetable.
4. Is the academy open on Fridays?
The academy's standard one-to-one teaching schedule does not operate on Fridays. Any exceptions for special programs will be announced separately.
5. What equipment do I need?
You will need a laptop, desktop, tablet, or suitable smart device; a stable high-speed internet connection; a clear microphone or headset; and a notebook with a pen or pencil. A quiet learning space is strongly recommended.
6. How long is each class?
A standard one-to-one session is scheduled for approximately 30 minutes, usually including about 25 minutes of instruction and a short transition buffer. Longer sessions may be available for advanced or group programs.
7. Are the classes one-to-one?
Most Quran reading, Tajwid, memorization, and Ijazah classes are delivered one-to-one. Selected Islamic studies and long-term programs may be offered in groups. The course page or admissions team will confirm the format.
8. Which platform is used for online classes?
Classes are generally conducted through Zoom. Google Meet or another approved platform may be used where appropriate. Students will receive instructions before the first class.
9. Where are the teachers based, and do they speak my language?
Our teachers are based in different parts of the world and speak a range of languages. We aim to match students with a suitable teacher according to language, program, time zone, age, and teacher availability.
10. Are the teachers qualified?
Teachers are selected according to the requirements of the subjects they teach. Depending on the program, they may hold recognized Ijāzah, Shahādah, academic degrees, or other relevant qualifications, together with teaching experience. All published qualification claims should be verified by the academy.
11. What should I do if my teacher cannot hear me?
First, make sure your microphone is not muted. Check that your headset or microphone is connected correctly. Open Zoom settings and confirm that the correct microphone is selected. On a desktop computer, disable any unused webcam microphone that may interfere with the main device. On a phone or tablet, check the device and application permissions. Wired audio is generally more reliable than Bluetooth for live recitation classes.
12. Will I receive a certificate?
Students who successfully meet the academic, attendance, assessment, and conduct requirements of an eligible course may receive an official certificate from Al-Mubarak Qur'an Academy. Ijāzah and advanced certifications remain subject to the teacher's authorization and the program's specific requirements.
13. What happens if I miss a class?
Missed-class, rescheduling, and make-up policies should be stated in the academy's published attendance policy. Students should inform the administration as early as possible when they cannot attend.
14. Can I change my teacher or schedule?
Requests may be submitted to the administration and will be considered according to the student's needs, teacher availability, and the academy's policies.
